Definition of Logarithm: Suppose a, n, and m be three real numbers. Then in an = m (a>0, a ≠ 1), the index n is called the logarithm of m to the base a. It is expressed in the symbol as n= loga m.
It is read as n is equal to the logarithm of m to the base a. A logarithm is written as 'log'.
