Algebraic operations on Sets:Union of Sets:
Definitions-1: The Union of two sets A and B is a set A ⋃ B, every element of which belongs either to A or to B.
Symbolically, A ⋃ B = {x:x є A or x є B }
Read as A ⋃ B = A union B
Intersections of Sets:
Definitions-2: The Intersections of two sets A and B is a set A ∩ B, every element of which belongs to both A and B.
Symbolically, A ∩ B = {x:x є A or x є B }
Read as A ∩ B = A intersection B
Difference of Sets:
Definitions-3: The difference between two sets A and B is a set A - B, every element of which belongs to A but does not belong to B.
Symbolically, A - B = {x:x є A or x ∉ B }
Read as A - B = A difference B
